1/2" Gatorfoam
With Claessens # 66 # 15 or #109 Linen or #12 Portrait Linen
Gatorfoam is a tough-skinned, ultra light weight, waterproof, acid-free board that will not support mold or mildew. It is constructed of an extruded polystyrene foam mounting encased between wood fiber veneers for rigidity. Linen is bonded using Miracle Muck adhesive.

This is a lighter board, but still gives you ample stiffness and superb durability. Perfect for Plein Air painting since you can pack them so easily. This weight board is suitable for sizes up to 12" x 16".

Gesso/Marble Dust (1/8" or 1/4" MDF)
MDF provides longevity, it is resistant to moisture and warping We give it 5 coats of our gesso and marble dust blend, and sand it smooth. Panels up to 16 x 20 are made with 1/8" and sizes above are on 1/4".

We seal the MDF first with white shellac to prevent natural acids in the wood fibers from leaching out. Linen is bonded using Miracle Muck adhesive.

Do you have an odd sized frame that a standard canvas does not fit? Creating a tryptic for that has to be a certain size? No problem! Let us custom cut panels for all your special needs. To correctly size a panel to fit a frame, simply measure the back lip dimensions and subtract 1/8".

21 3/8" x 15 7/8" panel.
For calculating prices on custom sizes, we round up to the next whole inch.
Example:
- round up to the next whole number- 15 7/8 becomes 16, 21 3/8 becomes 22
- 16x22=352 sq in.
- 3. 352 x .06 (sq in price varies) = $21.12
